"My inspiration comes from my Dad and the work he carries out on our home farm. He comes into contact with different objects, machines and tools on a daily basis which are routine to him, but I saw these in a different way and wanted to capture their narrative in the form of medals, tools and jewellery. My drawings are quite literal in style which help to depict meaning and narrative throughout my pieces. I enjoy the exploration of experimenting with different materials, using the material carefully to add to the story behind the piece. I want the audience to experience the challenges and rewards of my Dad’s job, whilst being submerged in our farming lifestyle."
